Templates give you a fast, reliable way to set up your business with a clear Category Tree, meaningful totals, and ready‑to‑use Cash Codes. They are optional, but they save time and provide a clean, accountant‑friendly starting point.
Templates provide a pre‑configured starting point for a UK business node: a Category Tree, rollups, Cash Codes, and related defaults.
They help your Cash Statement make sense immediately, without needing to build everything from scratch.
You can still customise anything afterwards — templates simply give you a strong foundation.

This sits alongside other tax groupings (such as VAT and Corporation Tax) and does not affect your day‑to‑day bookkeeping.
